"My Son goes to Grade Power Learning with Ms. Jan twice a week since they opened here in Largo. During the time he has been here I have witnessed a change in his attitude towards learning. His comprehension of letters, vowels and sounding out words has been beyond my expectations for a 4/5yr old! He tells me he enjoys his teachers/educators. Their warm welcome when he arrives and a soft good bye when he leaves has not gone without notice! OVERALL! I HIGHLY recommend this tutoring/educational facility to EVERY PARENT who wants their child to not only succeed in education but to be ahead of others! We Thank you for all your efforts and hard work! "

  GradePower Learning

The Little Readers program focuses on early literacy for children as young as three until they are ready to start Kindergarten. The Little Readers Program is a two hour morning of fun, dynamic learning focused on developing intellectual, emotional and fine motor skills. Curriculum is based on four major areas; classification, seriation, spatial relations, and temporal relations. We work to ensure every child develops an eagerness to learn, experiences early successes, and builds an active/curious mind. Our success is built on a foundation of small classes, individual programs, kids progressing at their own pace, and a warm and caring environment.

Beyond Tutoring is our program for kids in kindergarten through 8th grade. For High School students we offer test preparation (SAT/ACT group and individual), study skills and college readiness.

GradePower Learning

All programs start with our dynamic diagnostic assessment that tells us about the student’s current academic performance and cognitive abilities. Based on the assessment, an individual plan is created to move the student to their goals as quickly and economically as possible. Our sessions are taught one-on-one, three-to-one, and eight-to-one. We regularly meet with each child’s school teacher and conference with parents. We are available as a resource for homeschoolers, virtual school students, and other groups focused on education.

We are proud members of the Central Pinellas Chamber of Commerce and the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce. We are sponsors of the Seminole, Osceola, Largo, and Indian Rocks Christian High School Football teams as well as the Indian Rocks, Cross Bayou and Seminole Jr. Warhawks Little League Baseball teams.

In its evolution from an agricultural community to Pinellas County’s third largest city, Largo, Florida has become one of the premier bedroom communities for Tampa and St. Petersburg. Families here, realizing the importance of education in landing a good job in the nearby large cities and in the growing healthcare sectors in Largo, place a high value on education. Additional help, such as that provided by an algebra tutor in Largo, is the added assurance for which many parents are looking.

Even the best students can fall behind and, unfortunately, catching back up can be extremely difficult on one’s own in some subjects, with algebra being a good example. A student’s current algebra lessons are dependent on having learned previous lessons. While students can limp along for a while, eventually their lack of understanding of the earlier material will catch up with them.

It is important for parents to stay informed on how their children are doing in their classes. Savvy parents don’t wait until their child’s algebra grades suffer before getting them the help they need. Instead, they seek out an algebra tutor in Largo at the first sign of trouble.

A GradePower Learning tutor will track back to find where the student first started to lose his or her way and begin their instruction at that point. Using a comprehensive approach, the student is provided with the basic knowledge necessary to grasp current lessons, as well as future ones. To learn the particulars, feel free to give us a call.

GradePower Learning is a global leader in supplemental education. We are looking for flexible part-time tutors with a passion for coaching kids between ages 3 and 18.

Our approach is fundamentally different and goes way beyond tutoring. Our teaching methods emphasize cognitive learning as a major component of the learning process. For ACT/SAT tutors, former teaching experience is not required. Only energetic applicants who scored in the 90th percentile need apply. Training and curriculum provided. Tutoring will be done both one on one and in small groups. College students welcome to apply.
