Summer Learning in Naperville

Semester Preview

Summer is a great time to get ahead of tough coursework or fill in learning gaps from last year's classes. Especially for students rising from regular to honors/accel or to PA/AP level material, we highly recommend getting a survey of upcoming material.
For students who fell behind this year, the semester preview is a great way to catch up before the fall.
Classes are kept to our normal 3-1 ratio, so each student will be able to move at their own pace and receive individualized guidance from the instructors.
We recommend 2-3 hours each week (either 1 or 1.5-hour sessions).
Students will be coached through a physical textbook with online materials to support study at home. The textbook will follow the same syllabus as the school coursework has historically done.
Students will not only learn the course content but also the study habits of note-taking, annotation, and organization of information for long-term retention
College Applications & Test Prep

Rising seniors should begin writing and completing their application essays before the applications open up in August - this way, they can start the semester without worrying about deadlines.
Our staff has been helping rising seniors identify their best choice of colleges and applying to them for over a decade. Navigating the applications can be tricky - we're here to help!
Rising 11th graders should be planning their upcoming ACT & SAT attempts. We offer test prep throughout the year and there are tests offered at frequent intervals, so the summer is a great opportunity to catch up or get ahead without the added pressures of the school year:
The ACT is offered in June, July, September, October, December, February, and April
SATs are given in August, October, November, December, March, May, and June
