COVID-19 Updates

The safety of our students, teachers, and staff has always been our #1 concern. Still, we recognize that without school, many of our students will unfortunately only be falling further behind and we want to help.

Mercifully, this disease appears to be mild in children and we’re going to do everything possible maintain social-distancing protocols here at the center. Still, combating COVID-19 will take teamwork and so we’ve categorized our responses into what you can expect from us, and what we need from you.

From us you can expect:

We have always offered paid-sick-leave for our salaried staff, but I've expanded the policy to our hourly teachers as well so there's no reason for anyone EVER to come to the center sick.

- We are sanitizing the center daily and tables, door handles, and other commonly touched spaces between students and as often as possible.

-Teachers are being paid for up to 15-minutes prior to their teaching time to come in, sanitize their areas (again) and wash their hands between each set of students.

️ We’ve removed shared supplies and encourage you to send your son or daughter with his/her own supplies. If needed, we’ll give students their own and leave it in their tray for the next session so another student won’t use it.

- We have always offered flexible rescheduling policies for sick students and will certainly continue to do so. If you are sick, do not come to the center. We’ll reschedule you at no expense to you (just call so we have the heads up).

 - We're maximizing social-distancing and separating students to ensuring everyone gets their own space. That means teachers will rotate between the students instead of sitting with them the whole time.

From you I need:

- We've always encouraged sick students to stay home with our flexible rescheduling and call-out policies, but we're now going to insist that sick students do not enter the center.

- ALL children, parents, and teachers must wash their hands and use the hand sanitizers located both in the lobby and before going to the tables.

- Please be timely: two areas we've identified this week that we'd like to clean-up are the children's reading area with the games and our lobby. Dropping off your student at your exact starting time and picking-up on time to eliminate any need for us to have them in the close proximity of our reading area would be helpful as we all seek to maximize their social distancing.

️ - Any GradePower Learning student who is returning from travel outside the US is asked to refrain from coming to our center for 14 days for everyone’s safety. We’ll happily credit your classes accordingly.

-Nobody is more disappointed in this bullet than I, but we've removed our shared coffee bar from the lobby for the time being.

"GradePower Learning is a great place for students. My daughter just started tutoring there and she loves it, Everyone is very nice and helpful. They truly only care about the childs education as their main priority. Before my daughter started there she was not doing well with her reading, every week she was bringing home failing grades on her test, now since shes started she has taken her first test and has shown a big improvement! I am very proud of her and very impressed with this company. They are highly recommended!"

"What a great experience we have had with GradePower Learning. My daughter looks forward to going and actually gets upset if we try to cancel to do something else. Around Christmas time we were driving to a relatives for dinner and she started to read the story of Christmas that she had gotten from Sunday school. It was beautiful and all the proof I needed that what they are doing for her was working. Thank you Andrew and the staff at GradePower Learning for that moment and every moment since."

-Chris G

"I chose GradePower Learning because they are more than a tutor. They get to the core of the issues your child is having and help build those skills so that learning becomes easier. My son's grades drastically improved (1 grade shy of A/B honor roll) and he has more confidence now. Thank you to everyone at GradePower Learning for their patience and helping my son improve."

-Amy G., Valrico, Florida

"A very positive step in whatever direction life takes your child. They can never be too prepared!"

-Alan L.

"My son has really seen improvement since starting GradePower Learning and his academic confidence has come full circle. He is actually excited to go to school! I like that he can get help with all subjects each week or focus on one area if he is having trouble. The staff is great on keeping me well informed on my child's progress and I am always greeted with a big smile and always feel welcome as a parent."

-Terry F., Lithia, Florida

"We have had the best experience! I had never heard of GradePower Learning until we went to the Fishhawk Pumpkin Festival and they were offering a chance to win an evaluation. I was skeptical at first, but they are great. They explain everything in detail for you and the process. My daughter is in 3rd grade and goes twice a week and loves it! She likes all the instructors there. I know it is improving her confidence and grades. Last week she took a practice FCAT and received a 90%. Thank you!"

-Nikole S., Lithia, Florida

My Jaicee was falling further and further behind in school. She was unable to keep up with her classmates. She wasn't doing homework or classwork. her grades were terrible. Then after yet another parent-teacher meeting, the school suggested I place her in a school for children with disabilities. So after a lot of tears and internet searching, I found GradePower Learning in Valrico. After a brief meeting and an assessment for Jaicee, she began tutoring twice a week. With their amazing tutoring, my daughter has gained so much confidence. Now after only six months of tutoring we are down to once a week. I am proud to say, last week my daughter brought home two tests, both 100%. Thank you GradePower Learning for bringing out my daughter's true potential!

My son needed to gain 70 points on the SAT to be eligible for the Florida Bright Futures scholarship. After 10 hours of one-on-one tutoring, he gained 90! We are thrilled with the outcome. Thank you!
